With May behind us, it’s time to reflect on the exciting new dapps that were added to DappRadar last month. As the world begins to bounce back, developers of decentralized applications have been hard at work creating innovative projects across various blockchains. May dapps by the numbers
During May, DappRadar reached the mark of a total of 14,123 dapps listed on the platform in total. Our team manually approved 201 new dapps over the month, and that’s just 6 less than in March (a decrease of 2.4%).
The most predominant chain among the new dapps is BNB Chain for the third consecutive month with 66 dapps, followed by Ethereum (45 dapps) and Polygon (44 new dapps). As the industry evolves towards interoperability, many dapps function on multiple chains, therefore the predominance of EVM-compatible networks amongst the majority of new dapps. Other relevant protocols this month include Cronos (17), Avalanche (14), and Arbitrum (14).
The most approved category of dapps this month is Games (34.83%), followed by Collectibles (17.41%) and High-Risk (11.44%).
Moreover, 2,143 dapps were automatically added to the platform in May, down from 2,537 in April – a 15.5% decrease.
Automatically approved dapps are onboarded without manual approval by the system. These dapps are often NFT collections, as opposed to platforms like exchanges or games.
