About ZKSync Era
zkSync is a Layer-2 scaling solution for Ethereum, aiming to address the scalability issues inherent in Ethereum. It leverages zk-rollup technology, which involves bundling multiple transactions into a single proof and submitting it to the Ethereum blockchain. This mechanism allows for reduced gas fees and faster transaction times while maintaining the security and decentralization principles of Ethereum. zkSync performs most computation and data storage off-chain but submits transaction proofs to the Ethereum blockchain for verification, ensuring the security of users’ funds.
