As memecoins dominate the news in Web3, WUFFI has pioneered the meme cycle by expanding to different chains and integrating with various products. 2024 has been monumental for the WUFFI community, and in this overview we will look back at key milestones that shaped WUFFI’s journey this year.

Back in January, WUFFI first launched on WAX, introducing a planned token distribution strategy with 30% allocated to community airdrops. They took a snapshot on January 31st, rewarding WAX token holders through tiers, based on the amount of WAXP they owned.

In the second month of the year, WUFFI additionally airdropped WUF tokens to NFT holders from the top 20 collections on WAX. Here, 5% of the supply went to users, based on the number of NFTs they held. However, the major innovation happened after the distribution on WAX. The team decided it was time to go multi-chain.

Solana Welcomes WUFFI

In March, WUFFI announced its expansion to the Solana blockchain, which is a significant move toward multi-chain functionality. The WUFFI team used a snapshot taken on March 28th to target BONK token holders who locked 25 million BONK through bonkrewards.com. This immediately gave WUFFI a strong presence on Solana, while maintaining its commitment to community-driven growth. 

In April, token claims went live on both WAX and Solana. During the 90-day claim window over 300,000 wallets were eligible to claim WUF tokens. Moreover, the WUFFI team managed to integrate their token in almost 100 games, tools and communities. This includes:

  • NFT marketplaces like AtomicHub, NeftyBlocks, and NFTHive
  • Gaming partners like Music Mogul, Twitchy Tides, Brawlers, and Spin Tycoon
  • And liquidity provision rewards on various DEXes, including Raydium and Orca on Solana, and Alcor Exchange on WAX.

The community didn’t claim all their tokens. The team decided to burn every unclaimed $WUF token, resulting in a deduction of almost 16% of the token supply. 

Introducing WuffiTap

WUFFI doesn’t only ride the memecoin hype, but also taps into the rise of Telegram. During 2024, Telegram has seen a tremendous increase in engagement through so-called mini apps. WUFFI launched their own mini app, WuffiTap. This social mining experience is built on the TON Network, and attracted over 400,000 users during its first season. 

WuffiTap rewards players through a WUF token prize pool, and offers a premium and standard leaderboard. During the first season, which took place from July ‘till September, players competed for a 500 billion WUF reward pool. The top one hundred players were part of the Elite 100, and received additional WUF rewards. Also here, unclaimed tokens were burned. 

Transforming in WuffiArcade

Season 2 became a lot shorter, halving from 90 to 45 days. It also introduced a 150 billion WUF prize pool. However, the biggest change is that WuffiTap became WuffiArcade. Instead of just one tapping game, WuffiArcade offers various experiences. Moon Sprint is a racing game, WuffiSlots is all about those spins, while Risky Tiles offers a high-risk tactical experience where you win all or nothing.

How new products impacted the WUF token economics

The expansion to new chains, and the launch of a dedicated WUFFI-branded mini app on Telegram, has impacted the economy of the WUFFI ecosystem. New features have been added, expanding the possibilities of the WUF token. 

  1. Staking – stake 10 million WUF and receive a 300% TapBot boost inside WuffiArcade
  2. Buyback and burn – 100% of the TON collected through in-app purchases, is used for WUF buybacks. These will then be burned and taken out of circulation. 
  3. YouTube revenue – The also announced to use revenue generated from YouTube to buy and burn WUF tokens. 

WUFFI community shows strength in numbers

Since the introduction of WuffiTap, now known as WuffiArcade, over 700,000 users have played the mini game app. Out of those, almost 20,000 bought the premium membership, giving them access to an exclusive, seasonal prize pool. Moreover, with 2.5 million followers on Telegram, over 130,000 Discord members, and 700,000 followers on X, the WUFFI community is stronger than ever. 

These community members have continuously showed strong performances when it comes to engagement, completing social tasks and daily quests. Moreover, with the introduction of the Pawtner Program, WUFFI aims to attract products and teams to build out their ecosystem. 

What’s coming next?

The WUFFI ecosystem will continue to expand, which includes more games coming to the WuffiArcade. There are various mini-games in development, but the team is also working on other initiatives. In 2025, they want to enhance staking features and improve the tokenomics of the WUF token. More community initiatives need to position the WUF pack for further growth. It’s time for WUFFI to run with the big dogs.
