Organizers can mint NFTs to fans before or after the events
NFT utility is taking another step toward the future. The global leader in ticket management Ticketmaster announced on Wednesday that it has finally signed a contract to join Web3. Dapper Labs’ Flow was the selected blockchain to mint the collectible NFTs of live events sold on the platform.
It’s an innovative way to enhance fan experiences that can be treasured forever, thanks to blockchain technology.

The blockchain announced that the partnership is still in its infancy and that the community can expect more news soon.
NFT event tickets
While NFTs won over celebrities and tabloids in 2021, their use cases have only grown since then. Global brands have adopted these unique tokens in fashion, music, sports, video games, and more.
The utility of NFTs as tickets has been growing in demand for both live and virtual events in the Metaverse.
As Dapper Labs’ official press release pointed out, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard of Ticketmaster using Flow for minting NFTs. More than 70,000 POAP NFTs were distributed at the Super Bowl LVI.
Furthermore, in the 2022 season, the NFL will issue NFTS to every attendee of more than 100 games – also minted on Flow.
What is Flow?
Flow is a fast, user and developer-friendly PoS blockchain. It was created in late 2019 by the Dapper Labs team, known for its famous Cryptokitties.
Since then, it has spearheaded several other large and media-driven Web3 projects such as the NBA Top Shot NFTs, and, most recently, the Solitaire Blitz game.

Once you get your tickets from Ticketmaster and attend events, the POAP NFTs received will be available in your Web3 wallet.
