Instead of only tracking who wins and loses, Road Code’s ranking system also takes into account which riders joined the race, meaning it’s not just about what race they win, but the caliber of riders they beat. Road Code and the Web3 element
Road Code is a platform developed by Velon (which in turn is owned by top cycling teams) and IMMORTAL, supported by The HBAR Foundation. Built on Hedera, users can expect an ecosystem that’s fast, secure and cheap to operate. But why is Road Code utilizing Web3?
The mission is to revolutionize the relationship between pro cycling and fans, and community is at the heart of that. Through Web3, the community can take ownership over the ecosystem. In the Road Code Roadmap, fans can get access tokens for exclusive content, while they can also win in-game assets and digital collectibles. In addition, there will be free tokens to access exclusive offers and earn rewards.
An important element of the initial Web3 offering, is the Road Code Season Pass. This access token gives holders access to exclusive content that is not available to the public. The access pass won’t be transferable or tradable on the open market.
Road Code Fantasy’24
In Road Code Fantasy’24 you receive a race-based budget, and each rider you add to your 8-person team costs credits. As of June 2024, Pogacar is the most expensive rider based on his Road Code Ranking, costing 10,000 credits, while the cheapest riders cost around 1000 credits. The next race is the Tour de France, starting on June 29th, so set your team and join the fun. You are also able to join the fantasy game mid race as we offer $50 equivalent in HBAR for every stage winner, having 21 playable stages in July.
