Reese Witherspoon and Jordan Belfort’s NFT Investments Revealed

Reese Witherspoon and Jordan Belfort’s NFT Investments Revealed

The actress purchased a World of Women NFT, while Belfort bought a CryptoPunk

Reese Witherspoon and Jordan Belfort are two new names that have recently jumped on the NFT hype and started building out their portfolios. Consequently, they’ve now made it on DappRadar’s list of verified celebrity wallets. The renowned American actress purchased World of Women #1467, while Jordan Belfort, the notorious Wolf of Wall Street, is now the proud owner of CryptoPunk #6033.

There has been a serious push from Hollywood when it comes to NFTs in the past couple of months. While the space is heating up, more big names from the sports and movie industries reveal their involvement in the NFT space on social media. Most prominently, Snoop Dogg dropped a bomb when he announced that he’s the real person behind Cozomo de’ Medici, who currently owns more than $16.7 million worth of NFTs.

As more celebrities jump aboard the NFT train, DappRadar has set out to explore their portfolios and look for patterns and possible signals. You can check out the full list of verified celebrity wallets here

Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon is one of the biggest names in Hollywood, as well as an outspoken advocate for gender equality and mental health support. She joined the NFT space in early September and has already amassed quite the portfolio.

According to a quick search with the DappRadar Portfolio Tracker, Resse Witherspoon owns more than 800 NFTs at the time of writing. Most of these come from female-centered collections like World of Women and Crypto Chicks. Witherspoon’s latest purchase is World of Women #1467. The NFT switched owners for 4.5 ETH, or about $18.652.

Browsing through Witherspoon’s portfolio we find that she owns two more World of Women NFTs. Additionally, she has two Crypto Chick NFTs, and a couple of Sad Girls Bar NFTs. Visibly, Reese Witherspoon is focusing on supporting collections either depicting or created by women, which is an honorable cause.

Interestingly, it looks like pricing does not matter much either. According to the DappRadar NFT Financial View Tracker, Witherspoon has been spending a lot more than the floor price value for her top NFTs. Consequently, this might make it harder to profit from these. However, presumably, the goal of this collection is not simply NFT flipping.

To find out more about Reese Witherspoon’s NFT collection you can easily browse through her portfolio yourself. Check out all collections she’s invested in, the purchase prices, and their current estimated value.

Jordan Belfort

Jordan Belfort has made quite the name for himself on Wall Street and beyond. However, his NFT portfolio is still in its infancy. Currently, he owns only two NFTs – a CryptoPunk and an Invaders NFT. While he cannot boast strength in numbers, Belfort can definitely enjoy the value of his two NFTs. They are currently worth over $390.000.

Belfort purchased CryptoPunk #6033 for the whopping 102.49 ETH or over $427.815 at the time of writing. This is a little higher than the current floor price for a Punk. It sits at 99.45 ETH, or about $407,213. Still owning a CryptoPunk is probably the highest level of initiation a collector can go through in the NFT space.

Jordan Belfort’s second NFT is no less intriguing. Invader #1595 is Super Exclusive NFT, which makes it the rarest alien across the whole Invaders collection. Belfort purchased it for 11 ETH, or about $45.887. Invaders is a collection of 10,000 alien-themed NFTs, which currently has a floor price of 0.019 ETH. It might look strange that Belfort paid 11 ETH for his, however, this can also be interpreted as a strong signal for investors. Of course, Invader #1595 is the rarest possible NFT in the collection. After all, that’s the Wolf of Wall Street we’re talking about.

Celebrities are quickly becoming highly influential in the NFT space. A celebrity endorsement, or the lack thereof, can make or break the future of a newly created collection. Just like in Hollywood, these people have the power to influence decisions. In the case of NFTs, these decisions often revolve around financial investments.
