A seamless mobile NFT trading experience on Immutable X
The NFT-oriented blockchain ecosystem Immutable X announced it now allows mobile users to pay for transactions directly using their smartphone and the MetaMask app. Immutable X strives to create the most user-friendly blockchain for gamers and developers.
- Immutable X (IMX) announced it brings mobile users seamless NFT trading on mobile phones by integrating with the MetaMask mobile app.
- Immutable X is one of the most investor-recognized Ethereum scaling solutions and raised $200 million earlier this year.
- Immutable X is an Ethereum zk-rollup layer 2 protocol and will work with StarkNet to allow users to trade NFTs frictionlessly across various layer-2 and layer-3 networks.
- Notably, Gods Unchained on Immutable X registered a 98% 7-day user increase, Book Games VeeFriends 10%, and Guild of Guardians 19%.
According to Statista, the mobile games industry will continue to boom in 2022, with revenue reaching $124.90 billion and an annual growth rate of 8.74%. However, this does not mean that game developers‘ income will significantly leap. Whenever a mobile game user makes an in-game purchase, the app stores take a slice of the cake, resulting in developers losing 15% or 30% of each transaction.
As a result, it drives developers to turn to the decentralized nature of blockchain for help since, in blockchain, no middleman is taking a share of developers’ revenue. A rising number of tech teams immediately devoted themselves to building a more user-friendly blockchain gaming infrastructure.
For example, the blockchain behind Gods Unchained and Guild of Guardians, Immutable X, is one of the projects empowering game developers through decentralized technology. As an Ethereum zk-rollup layer-2 protocol, Immutable X features instant transaction confirmation, near-zero gas fees, and massive scalability.
Lately, the Immutable X team announced that it enabled a seamless mobile NFT transaction experience for users to purchase and manage NFT assets through MetaMask mobile app easily. Users just need to click on the ‘Buy Now’ button on its marketplace’s mobile web page, and Immutable X will redirect the user to the MetaMask app to proceed with the payment.
Immutable X gears up for the gaming blockchain race
As Axie Infinity rose to prominence with millions of blockchain game users, capital started pouring into the field. Venture capital is not only funding game studios but also building infrastructure for hosting blockchain games. Immutable X is one of them favored by investors. Earlier this year, the team received $200 million from COINBASE, Naspers, Galaxy Digital, Temasek, and Tencent.
Immutable X is a layer 2 protocol focusing on NFTs and gaming dapps in the broad Ethereum ecosystem. Adopting zk-rollup, Immutable X can handle transactions in batches without sacrificing decentralization or security while increasing efficiency. As a result, Immutable X can support 9,000 transactions per second, allowing high-frequent NFT transactions generated in gaming dapps at almost zero cost.
In addition to this, blockchain scaling solution StarkNet will work with Immutable X to allow users to trade NFTs frictionlessly across various layer-2 and layer-3 networks. This further adds to the ultimate user experience of Immutable X, making NFT trading even more accessible and smoother.
Immutable X ecosystem recorded impressive 7-day results
Many dapps in the Immutable ecosystem are well-known to the crypto community, including Gods Unchained, Book Games by VeeFriends, and Guild of Guardians. Impressively, these dapps have managed a steady performance over the last seven days despite the downward market trend.
Last Friday, Gods Unchained (GODS) ranked number one on the DappRadar Top 10 Games List, proving its popularity. As of the writing, the game has registered a 98% user increase, attracting almost 6000 unique wallets over the previous seven days. Book Games by VeeFriends came in second on Immutable’s dapp ranking board with a roughly 10% increase in users, 45% in transactions, and 41% in volume. In addition, another top-selling game, Guild of Guardians, also saw a seven-day user growth, increasing by 19%.
