Chainmonsters Opens Beta Phase 2 to All Players

Chainmonsters Opens Beta Phase 2 to All Players

Closed Beta pass holders will gain early access to Phase 2 for a week

Chainmonsters, one of the most anticipated gaming projects on the Flow blockchain, has announced it will open up the second phase of its beta to everyone. Chainmonsters alpha and beta versions were only available to players who had an early access pass.

This is a major change in the way Chainmonsters operates and the next big steps towards the game’s final launch. According to the official Phase 2 announcement, one of the main reasons to open up the second phase to all players is to stress test the game’s build.

Phase 1 of the beta will end on April 15th. Soon after, everyone interested in playing Chainmonsters will be able to create a free account and start exploring Phase 2 of the beta game. Impressively, the platform will become available across all popular devices, including iOS and Android. The official roadmap details that work on the game’s mobile version has already commenced.

Phase 2 of the Chainmonsters beta will include various events focusing on testing different aspects of the platform and gameplay. In this sense, beta testers will get a chance to experience all sides of the game, emphasizing certain elements like the battle systems, character creator tools, and social engagement features.

Aside from wider access to the platform, Phase 2 of the beta will also bring participation rewards to gamers. While details regarding the incentive system have not been revealed yet, the Chainmonsters team promised that the more players join the test efforts, the more rewards there will be. An important note to add is that participants in the closed alpha and beta versions of the game will get the benefit to explore the first official release of the full game one week before everyone else.

Chainmonsters bets on quality

Chainmonsters is one of the most extensively tested projects in the blockchain gaming space. The official closed alpha launched in March 2021, and since then, interest in the game has been steadily building up.

One of the main reasons for more than a year of closed testing is to ensure that players can get the best quality end product. The game has gone through multiple iterations now, thanks to the feedback of closed testers. Introducing 3D graphics was among the platform’s major improvements in recent months.

Now that the game is opening up to even more players, the final stages of the testing period are coming. According to the most recent development update, the team expects to launch the first official version of Chainmonsters towards the end of 2022.

Alternative chains attract high-end gaming projects

Chainmonsters is not the only high-end gaming project to choose an alternative blockchain like Flow. The benefits of building on a smaller chain can be numerous, especially considering the staggering gas fees and congestions Ethereum experiences.

One of the main benefits of using Flow includes its interoperability and the Flow Wallet’s ease of use. Other chains like Polygon are also rising in popularity in blockchain gaming. New projects like Pegaxy have found their home on Polygon, benefiting from fast processing speeds and virtually free transactions.

Another impressive project that has caught the eye of gaming fans is Star Atlas on the Solana blockchain. Star Atlas creates an intricate web of functionality, choices, and, most importantly, high-end graphics for players, all powered by Solana. NFT characters and inventory items are tradable and stored on the Solana blockchain.

Blockchain gaming is steadily becoming one of the most significant use cases for the technology, according to the latest DappRadar and BGA Games Report. More than 1.1 million unique active wallets connected to a blockchain game in February 2022. And this audience is only going to grow, as more high-end projects like Chainmosnters and Star Atlas join the space.
