Everything you need to know about the Polygon-based GMEE
Arc8 is a mobile-based play-to-earn platform on the Polygon blockchain, that rewards players with GMEE tokens for successfully competing in mini-games. Arc8 was created by Animoca Brands’ subsidiary Gamee, and is among the first fully mobile-based play-to-earn games.
With a successful track record of popular projects like REVV Racing, The Sandbox, and Crazy Defense Heroes, Animoca Brands decided to branch out further with the GAMEE platform. Gamee, with its native token GMEE, is the home of Arc8 and G-bots.
Arc8 offers nine different mini-games. Each allows players to compete against each other and earn a spot on tournament leaderboards or battle in one-vs-one matches. Winning a single match rewards players in GMEE, and so does a higher spot in the leaderboard.
Aside from Arc8, Animoca Brands has also launched the Gamee platform. It offers players a chance to try out their luck in various mini-games as well. Unlike Arc8, which relies on players’ skills, Gamee is focused on the fun side of trying out your luck through raffles and betting games. However, Gamee also allows players to withdraw their prizes directly to PayPal.
The truly play-to-earn experience is facilitated on Arc8 thanks to the GMEE token. Read on to find out all about the native token, and its revolutionary double blockchain structure.
What is GMEE?
GMEE is the native token for Gamee products. The token takes center stage on Arc8, as all rewards for winning tournaments and matches are paid out in GMEE. This is an Ethereum-based utility token using Polygon as a Layer-2 scaling solution.
The purpose of GMEE is to serve as a medium of action, reward, and incentive that connects multiple game titles on the Gamee platform, as well as to decentralize ownership and governance of all mini-games and platforms. The total supply is 3,180,000,000 tokens.
Importantly, in order to boost their GMEE winnings on Arc8, players can also purchase G-bots NFTs. These NFTs serve as playable characters in an exclusive mini-game available only to owners. What’s more G-bots games and tournaments offer the largest rewards pools across Arc8 games. Of course, they only sell G-bots in exchange for GMEE tokens.
Aside from rewards payments, GMEE serves as a governance token. Users who hold tokens can vote and influence decisions around product features, content, and prize pools for the Arc8 platform.
