NFTs expand despite the bear market
The trading volumes measured in USD show that the market is contracting, with a decrease of 25% MoM. Also, the number of traders has decreased by 8% MoM but still increased by 40% from July 2021.
However, the long-anticipated Ethereum merge could bring some enthusiasm to the crypto community, which might positively affect the NFT market.
Moreover, the NFT marketplace landscape is expanding with new entrants. For example, Gamestop NFT Marketplace, Nickelodeon’s NFT marketplace, Uniswap´s acquisition of Genie – the first NFT marketplace aggregator, marrying DeFi with NFTs, and most interestingly, Social Media Platforms adopting NFTs.
