Sports and fashion sneaker powerhouse now owns CloneX NFT Avatars

Nike Inc. has announced the acquisition of RTFKT, the NFT fashion company behind digital wearables, collectibles and the CloneX NFT collection. This way Nike will have its foot into the metaverse, as RTFKT is native to the digital realm.

Details of the deal haven’t been disclosed, but the team at RTFKT is over the moon. In a series of tweets the founders expressed their excitement to be working together with a fashion brand they always looked up to.

The acquisition took place only 24 hours after the unveiling of CloneX. Right now there are still 1,566 unveiled Clones, and these Mintvials have a floor price of 9.69 ETH or over $36,000.

At the same time, 16,389 CloneX avatars have been revealed by the community. The cheapest one on the market has a 5,5 ETH or $20,000 price tag. The most expensive ones sold for prices of 100 ETH up to 288 ETH for CloneX #13692

Both the CloneX avatars and the Mintvials are now topping the NFT charts on DappRadar. In the past 24 hours, these two NFT collections have been good for a trading volume of $71,9 million, outperforming the rest of the Top 25 NFT collections combined.
