A closer look at the TRON DEX finding popularity 2 years after launch

After a long period of stagnation, the TRX token price has hit a year high and continues to power ahead.

That’s good news for all TRON dapps and especially decentralized token exchanges such as TronTrade

The exchange was created by BitGuild, which originally was a game developer on Ethereum.

It also runs the GuildChat and GuildWallet applications. Indeed, access to TronTrade requires the use of either the TronLink or GuildWallet browser extensions.

Launched back in late 2018, activity on TronTrade has been heavily influenced by the value of TRON-based tokens. That’s the same with pretty much all token exchanges.

Key tokens in terms of the trading volume include BTTT (BitTorrent) and WIN (Wink), USDT (Tether), and JST (JUST).

Unsurprisingly, the current TRX price jump has been reflected with increasing daily activity.

It’s risen from around 1,300 daily activity unique wallets in early 2020 to a peak of around 3,000. That’s still some ways off the all-time high of almost 4,000 daily active unique wallets from way back in May 2019.

However, with the TRON DeFi ecosystem starting to gear up with the launch of dapps such as JUST and JustSwap, you wouldn’t bet against TronTrade testing those limits in the near future.

Of course, always remember to be very careful when using such dapps and never invest more value that you’re prepared to lose.
