Clone X NFT Collection Hitting the Market Next Week

Clone X NFT collection mint sale

Arguably the most anticipated NFT drop of the month

RTFKT will launch the presale of their Clone X NFT collection on November 18th, followed by a public sale two days later. Buyers can mint the NFT avatars on the official website for 0.05 ETH or $234 a piece.

NFT collectors are always looking for the next big thing, and Clone X has been on the radar of many for several months. The NFT avatars from digital fashion house RTFKT have been among the most anticipated NFT projects in recent months, developed by a reputable team with a proven track record of high-quality work in the NFT space.

There will be a total of 20.000 NFT avatars for sale, of which 10.000 will be available in the presale. Every Clone X avatar comes with 3D files to use in the wider metaverse, and collectors will be able to customize their Clone with special wearables. RTFKT intends to create experiences only accessible to those holding a Clone X character.

Whether Clone X will become a valuable NFT collection remains to be seen. Initial hype is not a guarantee for long term success. Mekaverse had lots of hype when it launched, selling NFTs for 5 ETH or more even before they were revealed. Currently the floor price is less than 1 ETH, indicating that lots of the initial buzz died down.

$4.2 billion in NFT trading last month

Clone X will be issued on the Ethereum blockchain, and that hasn’t been the hottest location for NFTs as of late. High gas fees make it difficult for users to transact low value assets, but popular NFT collections like CryptoPunks and Bored Ape Yacht Club still find an audience there.

In October the NFT space saw $4.2 billion in trading volume, a slight improvement compared with September. At the same time the NFT market registered 3.7 million unique active wallets trading, an all-time high. Even though the money is in NFT collections like Art Blocks, CryptoPunks and Bored Apes on Ethereum, most transactions take place on alternative platforms. Axie Infinity on Ronin or the various NFT collections on Wax are very popular, for example. The Dapp Industry Report provides more analysis about NFT trading in October.

It’s not without reason that Axie Infinity has been leading the NFT collection charts for many weeks. These charts also show high positions for Farmers World, a game on the Wax blockchain. At the same time, various NFT collections on the Solana blockchain can be found in the top 20 as well.
