This week’s top 10 NFT sales comprises 9 BAYC and 1 MAYC transfers
The launch of the Bored Apes native token APE has caused a major stir among NFT enthusiasts. Yuga Labs collections have completely taken over the ranking, filling in all ten spots. The most expensive sale in the past seven days is for BAYC #3250, which switched owners for 250 ETH, or about $720,430.
BAYC and MAYC fans were ecstatic on March 17th, as the new native ecosystem token APE dropped. According to the announcement, each Bored Ape granted collectors 10,094 APE tokens. Additionally, each Mutant Ape brought in 2,042 APE tokens. Having a Bored Ape Kennel Club NFT in your wallet adds a bonus to the airdrop.
The wave of excitement and hype created by the airdrop pushed BAYC sales through the roof. Judging by the top 10 NFT sales in the past seven days, Bored Apes fans have been the most active traders. Looking at the wallets of collectors who purchased these BAYCs, a lot of them are still holding at least part of the airdropped APE tokens they received.
For example, nobody.eth* who purchased three of the top-grossing BAYC NFTs last week, has claimed a total of 234,534 APE tokens in the past several days. At the time of writing, they still hold close to a fifth of the airdrop amount, which is valued at more than half a million dollars.

Bored Apes floor price skyrockets, Yuga Labs keeps pushing
Top-grossing Bored Apes are now selling for over 250 ETH. However, the floor price of the collection is also rising. According to DappRadar data, in the past seven days, the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection has seen quite the uptick in both activity and valuation.
The floor price for BAYC NFTs increased by more than 60%, while the collection generated over $33 million in trading volume in the past week. Following the APE token airdrop, the NFT community was once again captivated by the Yuga Labs foundational project. You can check out the floor prices of all NFT collections here on DappRadar.
Importantly, the company behind the BAYC and MAYC brand has been at the forefront of NFT news in recent weeks. Aside from the major APE airdrop that caught the attention of collectors most recently, Yuga Labs also made a big acquisition move. The company purchased the rights to both the CryptoPunks and Meebits collections. In this sense, Yuga Labs has solidified its position as one of the top players in the space.
Bored Apes and CryptoPunks often battle for the top spots in the weekly top 10 NFT sales rankings. Now, the collections are part of the same ecosystem, which allows for interesting opportunities for collaboration and interoperability in the future. Still, the APE airdrop has now shifted the attention back to Bored Apes and Mutant Apes.
