Arc8 tops the charts this week with an impressive Season 1 launch. While the mobile-based platform went through a beta version and pre-season, this is the first official season to launch. Thanks to the announcement, the game saw more than 32.000 unique active users this week. Additionally, the platform’s native token GMEE saw its price jump 42% in the past seven days.
Following closely behind, we have NFT Worlds, which launched an important token mechanic, and the Polygon-based game, Pegaxy. Pegaxy made a dashing entry into the weekly ranking thanks to the launch of a closed beta testing of its upcoming 3D racing track.

Top 10 blockchain games of the week
Arc8 takes the top spot in this weeks’ top 10 blockchain games ranking thanks to the start of the game’s first official season. Until now the mobile platform invited players to test out its beta version and pre-season. However, Arc8 is now fully active and Season 1 has started. Additionally, the platform’s native token GMEE has seen a stellar performance in the past seven days, boosting its valuation by more than 42%.
NFT Worlds ranks second this week following a strong performance in terms of NFT trading volume. However, most importantly, the platform implemented an in-game transaction mechanism that allows players to send WRLD tokens without having to pay gas fees. This new mechanism also had a positive effect on WRLD’s valuation, which jumped 39% in the past seven days.
Pegaxy is a newcomer to the top 10 blockchain games weekly ranking. Impressively, the game enters right at the top 3 thanks to an impressive beta–launch of its 3D racing track. This week, the platform allowed Founding, Legendary, Epic, and Rare horse NFT holders to try out the beta version of the upcoming 3D racing track. Additionally, the platform attracted more than 32.000 unique active wallets in the past week.
Decentraland ranks fourth this week, thanks to an announcement that the virtual world will host the first Metaverse Fashion Week. While the real world is buzzing with new designs as fashion houses travel from location to location, Decentraland will welcome the first virtual world Fashion Week. Impressively, according to the official announcement, the number of big brands that wanted to participate was more than Decentraland’s capacity.
Alien Worlds has dropped a couple of spots compared to the monthly ranking we released last week. However, the game still attracted 420.150 unique active wallets, making it the second most visited gaming dapp on the list. Without any major announcements and rather stable performance of the native token TLM, Alien Worlds ranks fifth this week.
Hive-based card trading game Splinterlands ranks sixth this week. Despite attracting 488.280 unique active wallets, which is the largest audience on this list, the game saw its native token SPS drop in value by 1.8%. This took a toll on the performance metrics in the past seven days and put Splinterlands towards the tail end of the ranking.
Real estate trading game Upland makes frequent appearances on the top 10 blockchain games weekly ranking. In the past seven days, the game launched an extensive land plot minting event for the Northern LA neighborhood. This boosted activity on the EOS-based dapp and attracted close to 200.000 unique active wallets.
Despite losing some of the momentum DeFi Kingdoms saw at the beginning of 2022, the dapp is still among the most popular gaming experiences on the blockchain. This week, the platform announced a major Grant Program. The program is built to drive innovation for the benefit of the community, the project, and the blockchain experience as a whole.
CryptoBlades has been one of the biggest projects in the blockchain gaming sector for months now. However, following some turbulent times, the dapp rarely made it to the top 10 blockchain games ranking. This week, CryptoBlades ranks ninth, thanks to launching an important burning mechanism. This allows players to burn their characters in return for other valuable in-game assets.
Last but not least, we have The Sandbox. While traditionally the virtual world ranks higher up the charts, this week it barely made the top 10 at last place. Still, the platform saw some important developments in the past seven days, including a land NFT smart contract migration. The migration event and all costs associated with it are covered by The Sandbox team, and NFT owners won’t have to worry about gas fees when transferring their land to the new smart contract.
Arc8 brings play-to-earn to your smartphone
Arc8 has been methodically building one of the most revolutionary blockchain-based games to date. While the game has not yet seen a massive following to the tune of what Splinterlands and Alien Worlds see, it has a promising foundation to start from. Backed by Animoca Brands, Arc8 brings much-needed flexibility to the mix.
At the moment, most play-to-earn and DeFi powered games are browser or computer-based. However, Arc8 is an exclusively mobile-based platform. This brings the platform a competitive advantage and opens up new horizons for user acquisition.
DappRadar will continue monitoring Arc8 as it steps into its first official season. If you want to learn more about the platform, and its native token GMEE, check out the links below.
